Entre Viñedos

The land rises gradually sloping from the access to a small hill of ancient pine trees, protected by its landscape value, which mark the boundary of the property and focus the views from inside the house.

Integrated into the landscape

The building is integrated into the landscape through the use of traditional materials such as stone or wood, very present in the popular architecture of the place, while maintaining a contemporary character in its formalization.

The materials

The walls are made of wild granite masonry with a “bone” joint, as is customary in the area, in contrast to the volume of the roof, which is conceived as a light element resting on the walls and which refers to the whitewashed walls of traditional buildings.

Iroko laminated wood was chosen for the exterior carpentry and Corten steel for the doorways, whose earthy tone harmonizes perfectly with the carpentry in terms of texture and tone.

For the terraces a paving stone was used combining three different types of granite: wild, albero and brown, in order to give them a more heterogeneous and natural look.

A living quality

The house participates fully in the natural elements thanks to the patios. The sea breeze, the sunlight and the rain penetrate inside, giving the space a lively quality. The presence of nature is accentuated by the planting of a maple tree that signals the passing of the seasons.

The heart of the house

“The living room was conceived as the heart of the house, it is the element that organizes and focuses all the routes of the house. Located between the day area and the night area, it absorbs all the circulation spaces incorporating them into the living room” Paco Galiñanes.

Simplicity and harmony

The interior reinforces the essence of the materials used in search of greater simplicity and harmony, especially highlighting the warmth provided by wood, present in the structure, interior woodwork, flooring and paneling.

Balance and fluidity

The integral design of all the elements that make up the house, such as the bed headboards, the bookcases, or the closets, contribute to give unity to the interior space, maintaining the same idea of balance and fluidity present throughout the project.

A new condition

The lighting project unveils a series of night scenes that give a new condition to the rooms and that favor that the experience of the house is not always the same.
