TROITIÑO | CERDEDO - COTOBADE
The TROITIÑO house is located in an environment close to the historic fabric of the town of Cerdedo, in an unconsolidated area where a variety of building typologies coexist.
Plot between sidewalls
The house is located in a plot between sidewalls, in a block in the process of urbanization that is still unfinished.
Exterior
The back elevation is slightly broken and staggered towards the courtyard by the incorporation of a garden terrace located above the living area.
The main facade is resolved with a break-up of vertical aluminum panels that highlight the independence to the closings with respect to the structural envelope and contrast with the white plaster of the rest of the building.
The opening of a courtyard on the south side favors sunlight, illumination and natural ventilation of the house, since the urban planning regulations determined the construction between party walls.
Interior
The house is organized on two levels: on the lower level is the day area in direct relation to the garden; and on the upper level is the night area, which extends outdoors through the terrace.
The main rooms on the first floor communicate with each other, generating a sequence of spaces that extend into the garden through the courtyard.
Staircase
The communications core opens to the day area, allowing visual communication between the two levels of the house through a double height space.
The entire program of the house is resolved in a plot of just over 180 m². The result is a project of simple and emphatic lines that combines design with functionality.
